From a family holiday to Kembe Safari
What started in 2018 as a special holiday grew into an experience that changed our lives. And into the birth of Kembe Safari.

The first safari
We set off for Tanzania with our family for a safari and a stay on Zanzibar. What began as a special holiday grew into an experience that changed our lives.

The meeting
Reginald Kembe
Along the way we met Reginald Kembe, who worked at the Mbuzi Mawe Serena Camp. He shared his dream: a piece of land on the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater for farming, held back by a lack of water. His story moved us deeply.

The breakthrough
Water after four attempts
Marc returned to Tanzania for the first water drilling. Only after four attempts did we strike water. A remote village gained access to clean drinking water.

The next step
A self-sufficient farm
We kept building: a farm that would let Reginald and the community become self-sufficient and generate a sustainable income. This project is still very much in development.

Kembe Safari is born
Out of this shared passion for Tanzania, its landscapes and its people, Kembe Safari was born. Since then we take travellers to the country and to the water project.
