Well prepared for your trip
We take as much of the arranging off your hands as we can: park permits, transfers and accommodation are ours to sort. A few things you arrange yourself, and we guide you through those step by step.
As soon as your trip is set, we send you an overview of what you still need to do and when. Unsure about anything? One message is enough; we usually reply within a few hours.

What you arrange yourself
Four things to sort out in good time. Above all, start early with your visa, because that takes the longest.
Visa
For Tanzania you apply online for an e-Visa (Ordinary Visa, US$ 50, valid for 90 days). Allow 3–4 weeks for processing. We’ll guide you through the application step by step.
Vaccinations
DTP and hepatitis A are among those recommended; depending on your route, malaria prophylaxis may be wise. Always consult a travel health clinic for personal advice.
Passport
Make sure your passport is still valid for a good while on arrival and keep a digital copy to hand, useful if you lose anything on the road.
Insurance
Travel and baggage insurance with cover for your destination is strongly recommended. Let us know about anything specific in advance and we’ll take it into account in the planning.

Tanzania is beautiful all year round. The dry season (June to October) is ideal for spotting wildlife; January and February are wonderful for the calving season on the southern Serengeti plains. We’re happy to advise on the best period for what you have in mind.
How safe is Tanzania and what should I know about staying safe?

Tanzania is a safe safari country. Our guides are trained in safety procedures, know the routes and conditions in the parks and are always reachable. Hakuna matata.
What about food and drink during the safari?

You enjoy meals prepared with local ingredients at your lodge or camp, and we provide a packed lunch for the road. We pass on any dietary requirements to all accommodation in advance.
Is there wheelchair-friendly accommodation?

Yes, some of our accommodation is wheelchair-friendly. Let us know what you need when we plan the trip and we will take it into account across the whole route.
Should I book my safari in advance or is last minute possible?

Booking ahead gives you the widest choice of accommodation, certainly in high season. But we are happy to think along for last minute plans too. Send us a message and we will look straight away at what is possible.
Is my advance payment protected?
