Dag 1: Aankomst in Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, you will be welcomed by your guide and taken to a simple but comfortable hotel in Arusha. Here you can prepare for the safari, feel rested, and get acquainted with the local culture.
Day 2: Tarangire National Park
You start the safari in the famous Tarangire National Park, which is known for its giant elephants and beautiful savannas. The park offers plenty of opportunities for game drives, where you can see many animals in their natural environment. Overnight at a campsite just outside the park, so you can feel the experience of the wild up close.
Day 3-4: Lake Manyara and Mto wa Mbu
Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park
Today you will explore Lake Manyara, famous for its unique tree-climbing lions and diverse bird and wildlife. You will spend the day on game drives and have the chance to spot rare animal species. You will overnight at a campsite near Mto wa Mbu, a lively village close to the park.
Day 4: Cultural Experience in Mto wa Mbu
Today you will experience the local culture in Mto wa Mbu. You can choose to take a bike ride through the village, visit a market, or interact with the locals to learn more about their traditions and lifestyle. After lunch, you will head towards the Ngorongoro Highlands, where you will stay overnight.
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater
After an early breakfast, you descend into the famous Ngorongoro Crater, one of the best places in the world to spot wildlife. Thousands of animals live here, including lions, elephants, and rhinos. You will spend the night at a campsite just outside the crater, so you can enjoy the beautiful view again the next day.
Day 6-7: Serengeti National Park
Two days will be spent in the Serengeti, one of the most iconic safari destinations in the world. During game drives, you will search for the famous migration of wildebeest, as well as predators such as lions and cheetahs. You will overnight at a campsite in the park, allowing you to sleep right in the heart of nature.
Day 8: Back to Karatu
After a final morning game drive in the Serengeti, you drive to Karatu, where you spend the evening in a budget lodge. This is the perfect opportunity to quietly conclude your adventure and enjoy the local atmosphere.
Day 9: Back to Arusha
On the last day of your safari, you travel back to Arusha. Along the way, you can stop for souvenirs or visit a coffee plantation to learn more about the local coffee production. Upon arrival in Arusha, you have time to explore the city.
Day 10: Departure
After a final night in Arusha, you will be taken to the airport for your return flight. You leave with beautiful memories of an adventure that was both affordable and incredibly inspiring.
