Safari & Culture: Encounter with Local Tribes

This journey combines impressive safaris with a cultural encounter at Lake Eyasi, where you meet the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes and gain insight into their ancient traditions.

Dag 1-2: Aankomst in Arusha & Tarangire National Park

Upon your arrival in Arusha, you will spend the night in a comfortable lodge. The next morning, you will depart for Tarangire National Park, where you can spot herds of elephants, giraffes, and predators during a game drive. You will overnight in a charming tented camp in the midst of nature.


Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park

Today you will visit Lake Manyara National Park, where you will encounter a variety of wildlife. In addition to the famous tree-climbing lions, you may also see large herds of elephants and colorful bird species. After the game drive, you will drive to your lodge for a relaxing evening.


Day 4-5: Lake Eyasi – Meeting the Hadzabe and Datoga

A unique experience awaits at Lake Eyasi, where you will meet the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes. The Hadzabe are one of the last hunter-gatherer tribes in Africa and will take you on a short hunt. With the Datoga, you will learn more about their traditional blacksmithing and farming methods. Overnight stay in a simple yet atmospheric lodge near the lake.


Day 6-7: Ngorongoro Crater

After a morning walk along the lake, you travel to the Ngorongoro Crater. Here, you enjoy a game drive through one of the most impressive natural areas in the world. You see lions, rhinos, and large groups of wildebeests and zebras. Optionally, you visit a Masai tribe, where you get to know their traditions and way of life. Overnight stay in Karatu.


Dag 8-10: Serengeti National Park

For three days, you will trek through the Serengeti, where you will be immersed in the magic of the African savannah. You will visit both the central and southern Serengeti and have the chance to see the Great Migration, depending on the season. You will stay in comfortable tented camps.


Day 11-12: Karatu and back to Arusha

On the way back to Arusha, you will spend your last night in Karatu, where you can take a coffee tour or simply enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The next day, you will drive back to Arusha and fly home.
