Is a safari in Tanzania safe?

Yes. You travel with an experienced local guide in a private 4x4, stay in carefully chosen lodges and have a dedicated point of contact available 24/7. We are members of the GGTO and the Calamiteitenfonds, so your trip is financially protected too.
Is this suitable if I’ve never been to Africa before?

Especially then. We build your route up gently: comfortable driving distances, trusted lodges and a guide who explains everything, from the animals to the customs along the way. You do not need to prepare anything but your suitcase.
When is the best time to go on safari?

Tanzania is beautiful all year round. June to October is dry and ideal for spotting wildlife; for the Great Migration we look at where the herds actually are. We’ll advise you on the best time for exactly what you want to see.
How close do you get to the animals?

Often closer than you expect. The animals are used to the vehicles, so you watch quietly from your own car without disturbing them. Your guide knows exactly how close is possible, and when it is better to keep your distance.
What vaccinations and documents do I need?

A few vaccinations are recommended for Tanzania, usually along with malaria prevention, and you’ll need an e-visa. If you travel via a country with yellow fever, a yellow fever certificate may be compulsory. We give you a clear overview; for medical advice we refer you to a travel health clinic.
Can I combine the safari with Zanzibar?

We’d love to. Many first-time travellers finish their safari with a few days on Zanzibar: adventure first, then unwind on the beach. We blend the two seamlessly into one trip.
